Lewa Wildlife Concervancy

The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy (LWC) is a unique experiment in wildlife conservation and community development. It is based on Lewa Downs, a 55,000 acre private wildlife reserve on the northern slopes of Mt. Kenya, just north of the Equator in Kenya, East Africa. Lewa is now the headquarters for a non-profit wildlife conservancy, which has gained a world-wide reputation for extending the benefits of conservation beyond its borders.
